A New Year A New Chapter For Us All.
“If I Only Knew” A New Original Composition, by Lin Duffy. Lin says: After releasing two albums on the D and M Label. “Dreamaker” and “Rock Pearls” I feel it’s time to get back to doing what I like to do best and that is to write my own songs. Unfortunately for that I need a musical collaborator. In the past I have collaborated with two amazing musicians (Keyboard Players) Carol Leech and Patrick Hamilton. Both, in my opinion extremely talented and versatile musicians. I have decided to advertise for a music collaborator this year and will be putting that out very soon. In the meantime I am diving in to the Vault!! LoL to dig out some of the material I wrote with Carol and Patrick and reviving and modifying them. Patrick Hamilton/UnsworthI met Patrick, who was then only 17 years old through his Mother who I was working with at the time. Well, she told me about her son Patrick who she said played the keyboard and she introduced me to him. After watching this very talented young mans performance, I asked him if he would like to write some songs with me. To my delight he did and that continued every Sunday afternoon for about 2years. |
Softly As I Leave You From The "Dreamaker" Album How sad to watch the end of an era on Coronation Street ( A 50 year old soap opera in the UK) The passing of the character Jack Duckworth.Played by actor Bill Tarmey for over 30 years As he bowed out to this poignant composition.
